5 Days Gorillas and Nyiragongo Volcanoes

This tour starts and ends in Kigali Rwanda, taking you through the rolling hills of Rwanda and DR Congo.

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Gisenyi.

In the morning after breakfast, you will have a Kigali city tour, visit the genocide memorial, the first house, the national museum among others. After lunch, transfer to Gisenyi, and relax at Lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight at Malahide paradise/Serena hotel/strip hotel.

Very early in the morning, you will cross over to DR Congo to Goma, and do shopping for the hiking requirements. Then go for the Nyiragongo hike from Kibati Village. Climb up to the top of the volcanoes, and have a clear view of the boiling magma at the top of the volcanoe. Dinner and overnight at the summit.

In the morning after breakfast, you will descend down the volcano up to the bottom. You will go for Goma sight seeing and later cross over to Rwanda and drive to Volcanoes national park. Dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla View lodge(Luxury)/La Palme Hotel(Deluxe)/Muhabura guest house.

In the morning, assemble at the park headquarters for briefing from the park rangers about the dos and don'ts while with the gorillas. Proceed for the memorable adventure in the forest, an activity that may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the animals. Meet and stay with the animals for a maximum of one hour, then descend to the park headquarters and then to your Lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you may go for nature walk in the nearby lakes or go for evening community walk, where you will be entertained and told the tales of their culture. Dinner and overnight at your hotel (Day 3)

In the morning, you will set off to Kigali where you will reach early enough to take a city tour to genocide memorial sites, local markets, art and crafts shops, lunch and later transfer to the Airport for your departure flight.
