This six days gorilla and chimpanzee tracking tour starts and ends in Kigali.

ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival.

On arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative at the airport, who will then transfer you to your hotel in Kigali. Dinner and overnight at Chez Lando Hotel(Budget)/The Manor hotel(Deluxe)/Kigali Serena Hotel(Luxury).

In the morning, you will have a city tour, visit the genocide memorial, the national museum, the first house, the local markets among others. After lunch in Kigali, enjoy a scenic drive to Volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri. Dinner and overnight at Kinigi guest house (Budget)/La Palme Hotel(Deluxe)/Mountain gorilla view Lodge(Luxury) as you prepare for the following day's memorable adventure.

After briefing from the park headquarters, you will commence your memorable gorilla trekking which normally takes 2 to 6 hours in the jungle. You will be allowed to stay in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of 1 full hour. Later return to and transfer to Lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight at Paradise Malahide(Budget)/Stripp Hotel(Deluxe)/Lake Kivu Serena Hotel(Luxury).

In the morning, you will drive a scenic journey southwards to Nyungwe national park, home of over 12 primate species including Chimpanzees. You will have stopovers for photography, view the tea estates, and the magnificent view of Lake Kivu and Nyungwe forest. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura hotel (Budget)/Nyungwe top view Lodge (Deluxe)/Nyungwe forest Lodge(Luxury).

In the morning, you will move to the forest to begin your primate tracking expedition. You will notably enjoy the view of the Chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons. There is a concentration of over 13 primate species and a variety of bird species in this vast national park. Retire to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

In the morning, you will transfer back to Kigali with stopover in Butare to visit the national museum, the genocide museum, the traditional king's palace in Nyanza. Reach Kigali late in the afternoon and check in your hotel in Kigali for dinner and overnight or transfer to the airport for your departure flight if it is on schedule.
